we're in the last corner approaching the final stretch...
ok... so the painting has started and we already have a mulligan (bright/crisp white turned into light gray so that's a respray)
we've selected all the room colors (Sherwin Williams) based on the following colors:
(Brevan (the GC) thinks we're a little crazy)
3rd floor -
(24 rolls per my calculations)
The railing to the 3rd floor is 40% there but I'm not too happy with the less than stellar rosettes (is it too hard to get longer railing brackets?)
I'm not so sure the railing should be installed until someone can schlep the 300# claw foot tub up to the bathroom.
we'll also need to additional purchase hardware; more brackets for the library and most likely railing brackets:
the gas fireplace is installed (waiting for inspection and gas line) sure it looks tiny now but that's just because the metal facade is not installed (and because we have to install non-flammable material around it). we're not planning a mantle since that will probably be too much in such a small room (maybe a mantle shelf).
the new east facing exterior doors are in:
now the kitchen and central hall way ceilings need a lot of "massaging" to make them look level (and line up with the cabinets in the kitchen and crown molding on the staircase ceiling)
I'm traveling Monday-Wednesday so fingers are crossed that everything will be ok.
